Throw Your Funk in My Backyard
What the fuck is going on, hope everyone is doing well. I’m finally back again after a long hiatus and posting for the first time since our highly anticipated move to wordpress.com, but I am happy to say that I’m now employed and getting my shit together, kinda.

As I’m sure most of you have heard, Melbourne, Australia’s mad man Knightlife, who is down with cutter records (317 loves Cut Copy), has just dropped his new Ep and I was able to scoop this funky gem care of our blog roll. Pretty hype with a fresh disco vibe, say what? Say word.

Next up is a remix by the Italian Broke One, another favourite of 317 who we did a post on way back in February, (which you can peep right here). This time around he gives his Italian disco flair to a Coal Stairs track, who hail from Montpellier in France. The result is an upbeat housed out banger that’s full of cuts, drops and a golden breakdown towards the end.

Moving right along, from Helsinki Finland, and this one is a bit of a mouthful for me, but Hannulelauri put a super funky twist on fellow Fins Zebra and Snake‘s track the Colours. Disco is no stranger to the funk involved here, but overall a pretty mellow and hypnotic adventure.
Zebra and Snake – the Colours (Hannulelauri Remix)
To round things up, a remix to another dope group and fav. of 317, Sydney’s Sneaky Sound System, this time by Flight Facilities, who’s music is heard all the way from Trinidad and Tobago. Consequently, we get to enjoy a super funky disco jam that has a Lifelike or Fred Falke like baseline that envelopes the synth loops; dance floor madness.

Peace and Love.
